Vulpix sitting pretty

Originally I was gonna add Ninetales to the pic, but for some reason I just couldn't get Ninetales to look the way I wanted... so I wound up cutting ninetales out of the pic, literally D: [link] << rough draft with the ugly ninetales still there lolz

Doing some experimenting with brush textures in photoshop... Why do things always look so much nicer before I color them?? :\

EDIT: adjusted the size of the eye in photoshop, and adjusted some shading
